COLLEGEVILLE, PA. – The Sacred Heart University women's wrestling team earned a third-place finish at the 2024 Will Abele Women's Wrestling Open, hosted by Ursinus College, on Sunday afternoon behind seven top-five placers, including two first-place nods from Tati Walker (116) and Tayla Tildsley (155).

Notables

The Pioneers finished with a team score of 33 points, just six points shy of Elmira College, who recorded 39.
East Stroudsburg University took home first place behind a team-score of 55 points.
Tildsley and Walker both ended the day with an undefeated record of 4-0.
Finishing in second place at 190 pounds was Jacklyn Smith, while the Pioneers had three – Samantha Yap (101), Taylor McCormick (109), and Bayley Trang (130) – claimed third in their designated weight bracket.
Rounding out the top five performances was Katie Vogt-Shields, who placed fifth at 143 pounds.
