Women's Basketball Falls at Boston College

Ten Pioneers scored in the contest
CHESTNUT HILL, Mass. – The Sacred Heart University women's basketball team fell on the road Thursday evening at ACC foe Boston College by a 102-58 final score at the Conte Forum in Chestnut Hill, Mass.
Leading the way for the Pioneers was Nalyce Dudley, who paced the team with 13 points and 30 minutes played. Ny'Ceara Pryor also crossed double figures with 10 points, also chipping in five assists and four rebounds. Emma Kirby continued her stellar start to the season with nine points and five boards.
Grace John and Esther Kursite both tallied first for the Pioneers tonight. John recorded five points, her first at Sacred Heart. Kursite tallied her first collegiate points at the start of the fourth quarter.

How It Happened:
The Pioneers came out of the gates strong in the opening 3:29 tonight, leading 8-7 with 6:31 remaining in the first. SHU hit two of their first three shots, both being 3-pointers from Amelia Wood. The Eagles took the lead over the remainder of the quarter, ending the frame on a 16-7 run to go into the second up 23-15. Dudley finished the opening 10 minutes with five points, hitting a corner triple to sit second on the team.
The second quarter was all Boston College, as the home team won the frame 34-12. BC shot 13-for-18 from the floor and 4-for-5 from deep in the quarter. Following the surge, the Eagles went into halftime up 57-27.
BC kept the pressure on in the second half, putting the finishing touches on a 102-58 win.
Sacred Heart did better in the fourth quarter, winning the frame 19-18. Pryor paced the team in the quarter with six points, while Sierra Johnson had five.
