Women’s Tennis Falls to FDU in Semifinal

Pioneers secure the doubles point
WEST WINDSOR, N.J. – The Sacred Heart University women's tennis team fell to FDU Saturday afternoon at the Northeast Conference (NEC) Semifinals, 4-2, bringing an end to its outstanding 2023-24 season.
The Pioneers came out strong in doubles play securing the point to take an early 1-0 lead over the Knights. Katsiaryna Starastsenka and Kim Fenton defeated the Knights at No. 1 6-1. Vitalina Golod and Flavia Rambaldi battled for the win in a 7-5 decision at No. 2.
In singles play, Katsiaryna Starastsenka defeated Alena Kubanova 6-1, 6-1 at No. 1.
