Last Time Out vs Saint Anselm
  • The Pioneers and the Hawks last met in the semifinals of the 2025 NEWHA Tournament, where Sacred Heart hosted Saint Anselm and earned a decisive 3-0 victory to advance to the championship.
  • Despite the 3-0 final score, the game felt much closer than the numbers suggested. The Hawks came out strong, out shooting the Pioneers 20-11 in the opening period. However, Sacred Heart made their chances count as Bria Holm capitalized early off an assist from Isabella Chaput to give the Pioneers the lead. The second period was the only frame where Sacred Heart held the shot advantage, outshooting Saint Anselm 17-12. That momentum carried over as Sami Bowlby found the back of the net to double the lead, 2-0. In the third, Grayson Limke put the finishing touch on the night, extending the advantage to three. From there, the Pioneer defense stood tall and held strong to secure the shutout victory.
