Pioneers Foil Squad Tops Yale 6-3, No. 9 Bulldogs Win Overall Match

NEW HAVEN, Conn. - It was a strong day for the Sacred Heart men's fencing foil squad in a match with perennial national power and ninth-ranked Yale on Saturday in Payne Whitney Gym. The Pioneers knocked off the Bulldogs in the weapon 6-3.
Chaissen Costello and Jacob Bartel both posted 2-1 records to lead the way.
Yale, though, won saber 8-1 and epee 6-3 to win 17-10.
Next up for the Pioneers is the NYC Duel on Feb. 12.
