Men's Lacrosse Brings in Three MAAC Weekly Awards

SHU won three of the four awards
EDISON, N.J. – The Sacred Heart University men's lacrosse team brought in a trio of Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference (MAAC) Weekly Award winners after its 12-11 victory over Saint Joseph's.
Alex Pazienza was named the Defensive Player, Tucker Spencer was selected the Offensive Player, and Luke Romanek secured the Face-Off Player of the Week.
Pazienza made 15 saves, caused two turnovers, and picked up three ground balls to backstop SHU in the season-opening victory. Meanwhile, Romanek won 17-25 face-offs and picked up eight ground balls. Spencer paced the Pioneers offensively with a career-high seven goals.
SHU returns to action on Saturday, February 15, at home against Holy Cross at noon on Campus Field.
