Foil Squad Places First at NEIFC Championship

Pioneers finish third in epee and seventh in saber
SOUTH HADLEY, Mass. - It was a strong day for the Sacred Heart men's fencing team at the New England Intercollegiate Championships at Mount Holyoke as the Pioneers finished second overall. The foil squad of Jacob Bartel, David Belluomo and Chaissen Costello placed first to capture the Vitale Cup.
In epee, Sacred Heart finished third. The fencers for the Pioneers were Brennan Robins, Damian Nguyen and David Bailey.
The saber squad of Oliver Lindholm, Michael DiMatteo and David Jin placed seventh.
WHAT'S NEXT
The Pioneers will compete in the NCAA Northeast Regionals on Mar. 9 in Medford, Mass.
