McClung Named EIVA Player of the Week

First Pioneer recognition of the season
FAIRFIELD, Conn. – Dylan McClung from the Sacred Heart University men's volleyball team was named Eastern Intercollegiate Volleyball Association (EIVA) Defensive Player of the week on Monday.
The senior outside hitter made his season debut in the Pios' winning matches against Merrimack and Saint Thomas Aquinas this past weekend. McClung came off the bench in the match against the Warriors playing in two sets with eight kills, three aces and two block assists. The following day, McClung secured a career high of 17 kills and 12 digs while tallying another three aces, two assists and two block assists against the Trojans.
The Pioneers return to EIVA play on Friday at 7 p.m. when they host Princeton at the Pitt Center.
