Burch Named MAAC Golfer of the Week After Winning JEL Intercollegiate

EDISON, N.J. – After taking co-medalist honor at the JEL Intercollegiate this past weekend, Sacred Heart University women's golf junior Jessie Burch was named the Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference (MAAC) Golfer of the Week on Wednesday afternoon.
Burch won the JEL Intercollegiate at Prospect Bay on Sunday, posting the round of the tournament to finish in a three-way tie for medalist honors. She also tallied a birdie on the 18th hole to get the win. She finished the event with a 14-over score of 230 (80-76-73). Burch helped the Pios finish third as a team, topping Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference (MAAC) programs Fairfield (4th) and Siena (5th).
The Pioneers hit the links again on Saturday, Apr. 5, for the opening round of the Rutgers Invitational in Piscataway, N.J.
