MANHEIM, Pa. – The Sacred Heart University men's wrestling team had five student-athletes recognized by the National Wrestling Coaches Association (NWCA) as NCAA Division 1 Scholar All-Americans.
Representing the Pioneers were Dakota Asuncion, Chris DeLena, Andrew Fallon, Brendan Gilchrist, and Aidan Zarrella.
To be eligible, student-athletes must have a 3.0 GPA and be an NCAA All-American, have a 3.2 GPA and be an NCAA Championships qualifier or have a 3.5 GPA and either have represented the team at the conference tournament or won 60 percent of their matches during the season (with at least 15 matches).
All five Pioneers competed at the 2025 EIWA Championship, with Zarrella and Gilchrist picking up victories.
