Parker Named MAAC Pitcher of the Week

EDISON, N.J. – Ryan Parker of the Sacred Heart University baseball team was named Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference (MAAC) Pitcher of the Week announced by the conference office Tuesday afternoon.
Parker delivered a dominant outing in Saturday's series finale against Iona, helping the Pioneers complete the three-game sweep with a 3-0 victory. The junior right-hander went seven strong innings, surrendering just four hits and two walks while striking out three. He held the Gaels to a .167 batting average in one of his best starts of the season.
Sacred Heart now turns its attention to a home weekend series against the University of Maryland Eastern Shore, beginning Friday at noon with a doubleheader.
