Piccirelli Named Field Performer of the Week

This is Piccirelli's first award of the season
Fairfield, Conn.— The Sacred Heart University women's track and field team, for the second consecutive week, collected a Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference (MAAC) weekly award. Lauryn Piccirelli earned Field Performer of the Week honors after dominating the high jump event.
Piccirelli earned an event victory in the high jump after clearing a height of 1.77 meters, marking a new career best. She placed first out of 15 participants, and it was not particularly close, as the second-place finisher recorded a mark of 1.68 meters.
Piccirelli and the Pioneers will have the weekend off before competing in the MAAC Championships on February 21 and 22.
