Women's Track and Field Win Three Events at the Vassar College Invite

Tozduman leads the way
Poughkeepsie, N.Y. – The Sacred Heart University men's track and field team concluded the Vassar College Invite on Saturday night, following multiple podium finishes, headlined by three event wins.
The first event victory of the day came in the 400m, where Isabelle Bevilacqua narrowly claimed the win with a time of 1:00.47. Close behind was her teammate Emily Raymond, who finished second in 1:00.79.
The next win came in the 400m hurdles, as Nicole Parise delivered a dominant performance. Parise crossed the line in 1:10.25, finishing five seconds ahead of the second-place finisher.
The final event victory came on the field side, with Julia Tozduman taking first place in the long jump with a mark of 5.48m. Her teammate Marisa Maio followed closely behind, finishing second overall.
Tozduman continued her strong showing in the triple jump, where she secured a second-place finish with a mark of 10.98m.

After a short two-week break, the Pioneers will return to action at the Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference Outdoor Track and Field Championship. The event is set to begin on Saturday, May 9 at 12:00 PM and will conclude on Sunday, May 10.
