Women's Track and Field Deliver a Fantastic Day One Performance ath the New England Intercollegiate Indoor Track & Field Championships

Multiple podium finishes lead the way
Boston, Mass. – The Sacred Heart University women's track and field team delivered a fantastic performance on day one of the New England Intercollegiate Indoor Track & Field Championships, finishing the day in first place. The Pioneers totaled 45 points across seven events.
Georgia Robarts got things started for the Pioneers, finishing second overall in the pentathlon with a score of 3,170. Her performance earned eight points for Sacred Heart.
Suzan Adekunle continued her strong season with another impressive performance. She finished second overall in the weight throw with a mark of 17.14 meters, earning eight more valuable points for the Pioneers.
Kaitlyn Caraco also earned a second-place finish in the high jump. She cleared a height of 1.67 meters, adding eight more points to the Pioneers' total.
The Pioneers also earned a podium finish in the distance medley relay, placing third overall. The team of Alivia Schweibinz, Ava Srinivasan, Gabriella DeVito, and Grace Del Giorno crossed the finish line with a time of 12:17.49.
