E.J. Anosike Named to Denver Nuggets NBA Summer League Roster

LAS VEGAS, Nev. – Former Sacred Heart University men's basketball standout E.J. Anosike has earned a spot on the Denver Nuggets roster for the 2026 NBA Summer League in Las Vegas. The annual showcase begins Thursday, July 9, and runs through July 19.
A three-year member of the Pioneer program, Anosike capped his Sacred Heart career by earning CIT Lou Henson All-America Team, NABC District 15 First Team, First Team All-Northeast Conference, and All-Met Second Team honors during the 2019-20 season. He was also named the 2018-19 NEC Most Improved Player while earning Second Team All-NEC recognition.
Anosike helped lead Sacred Heart to one of the most successful seasons in the Division I era. The Pioneers finished 20-13 in 2019-20, setting a program record for Division I victories and securing the school's first 20-win season since 1988-89. Sacred Heart also earned its first Northeast Conference Tournament victory since 2009 with a 61-59 quarterfinal win over Mount St. Mary's.
One of the nation's premier rebounders during his final season at SHU, Anosike became just the 13th player in Northeast Conference history to average a double-double for an entire season. He averaged 15.7 points and 11.6 rebounds per game, ranking first in the NEC and sixth nationally in rebounding. His 18 double-doubles ranked seventh in the country.
Anosike was equally dominant on the offensive glass, averaging 4.2 offensive rebounds per game to rank fourth nationally and first in the NEC. He finished the season with 383 total rebounds, the fourth-highest total in Division I.
Following his standout career at Sacred Heart, Anosike transferred to the University of Tennessee before concluding his collegiate career at Cal State Fullerton. In his lone season with the Titans, he averaged a team-best 16.3 points and 8.3 rebounds per game, earning First Team All-Big West honors while helping lead Cal State Fullerton to the 2022 Big West Tournament championship and an NCAA Tournament appearance.
Since beginning his professional career, Anosike has competed in several international leagues, most recently with the Hong Kong Bulls. His physical style of play, rebounding ability, and interior scoring have made him a consistent contributor throughout his professional career.
Anosike has also represented the Nigerian National Team in international competition, continuing his family's rich basketball tradition on the global stage.
The NBA Summer League provides top young players and professional prospects an opportunity to compete against NBA talent while vying for training camp invitations and roster spots. The 2026 NBA Summer League features all 30 NBA teams and will be held July 9-19 in Las Vegas.
