Pioneers Unveil 2026-27 Women's Ice Hockey Schedule

Sacred Heart University women's ice hockey has announced its 2026-27 schedule, featuring a 34-game regular-season slate.
FAIRFIELD, Conn. – Sacred Heart University women's ice hockey has announced its 2026-27 schedule, featuring a 34-game regular-season slate highlighted by conference matchups, regional rivalries and several opportunities against NCAA Division I opponents as the Pioneers continue to build under head coach Thomas O'Malley.
Sacred Heart opens the 2026-27 campaign on Sept. 25 against Providence at home before traveling to Providence on Sept. 26.
The Pioneers return home Oct. 9-10 for a two-game series against Assumption before splitting a weekend series with LIU, hosting the Sharks on Oct. 16 before traveling to Long Island on Oct. 17.
The Pioneers continue October with a two-game road series at FPU on Oct. 30-31 before opening November at Stonehill on Nov. 6-7. Sacred Heart then returns home for a single-game matchup against Quinnipiac on Nov. 10, followed by a two-game home series against Saint Anselm on Nov. 13-14. The Pioneers close out November with a road series at Saint Michael's on Nov. 20-21 before competing in the Nutmeg Classic Nov. 27-28.
December begins with a home-and-away series against Post, with the Pioneers traveling to Post on Dec. 4 before hosting the Eagles on Dec. 5.
Sacred Heart opens the new calendar year with a New Year's Day matchup against Brown on Jan. 1. The Pioneers then return to conference play with a two-game series against LIU on Jan. 8-9, followed by home series against Assumption on Jan. 15-16 and FPU on Jan. 22-23. The month concludes with a two-game home series against Stonehill on Jan. 29-30.
February features the final stretch of the regular season, beginning with a road series at Saint Anselm on Feb. 5-6. Sacred Heart returns home for a two-game set against Saint Michael's on Feb. 12-13 before closing the regular season with a home-and-away series against Post, traveling to the Eagles on Feb. 19 before hosting Post on Feb. 20.
The Pioneers will look to make a run at the NEWHA postseason, with the conference quarterfinals scheduled for Feb. 26-28. The NEWHA semifinals are slated for March 3, followed by the championship game on March 6.
For teams advancing to the NCAA postseason, NCAA Regionals are scheduled for March 11-13, with the Frozen Four set for March 19-21.
