Taylor Cudequest

Taylor Cudequest has been named an assistant coach for the Sacred Heart University men’s and women’s track and field teams working with multis, pole vault, and high jump.

Cudequest joins the Pioneers after spending two seasons at Cerritos College. He is a graduate of Cal State Northridge, where he took fourth place at the Big West Championships in the decathlon (6733 points), while he also competed in the 400 meters (50.53) and placed fourth in his senior season. In his junior season, he qualified for the USA Outdoor Track and Field Championships and took ninth at the Big West Conference Championships in the decathlon.

A graduate of Pascack (NJ) High, Cudequest qualified for the New Balance Indoor and Outdoor National Championships, where he placed third in the country and earned All-American honors. Last year, he qualified for the USA Indoor Track and Field Championships and was 11th overall in the heptathlon. 

In 2019, Cudequest served as an assistant coach at Mayfield High in Pasadena and helped lead them to the EMT Prep League championship and had eight CIF qualifiers. He coached the hurdlers, jumpers, and sprinters at the school.

A USATF Level II certified coach in sprints, hurdles, relays, and jumps. Cudequest earned his bachelor’s degree in mathematics at Cal State Northridge in 2017.
