Patterson returns to the Red & White after serving as the assistant from 2015-18. In her first tenure at SHU, Patterson helped lead the women to seven NEC titles and five Coaching Staff of the Year honors.
Patterson served as cross country/track & field head coach at Manhattanville College from 2018-21, and 2014-15. During her two stints, the Valiants broke 47 school records and earned a second-place finish for the men's team in the 2021 Skyline Outdoor Track Championships, which was the highest accomplishment in program history.

Prior to her time at Manhattanville, Patterson served as head coach at SUNY Maritime from 2013-2014 after serving as assistant the previous season. Her accomplishments with the Privateers included eight All-Skyline honors and one individual championship.
