(Bridgeport, CT) – The Sacred Heart Men's Hockey team saw a 3-1 second-period lead slip away, as Andrew Ammon struck for all four of his team's goals in a 4-3 comeback win for the Princeton Tigers over the Pioneers Friday afternoon at Webster Bank Arena.

SHU took an early lead on the first career goal for Chad Barthelmess (Norristown, PA), who walked in from the blue line for a breakaway on a tape-to-tape homerun pass from Alex Stuart (Sauk Rapids, MN), with Jake Lines also picking up an assist. 

Ammon tied the game at 8:17 with a snipe from the left faceoff dot, taking a drop pass by Andrew Calof and picking the top left corner.  However, the Pioneers retook the lead just 37 seconds later on another stretch pass that led to a breakaway for Nick Curry (Augusta, GA).  Neil Fachini (East Hampton, CT) sent the puck in the defensive end over to Kyle Verbeek (Birmingham, MI), who then sent a pass up the ice to a cherry-picking Curry for a breakaway and five-hole goal.

In the second , Ben Ketchum (Greenwich, CT)  gave a SHU a 3-1 lead, sent into the zone on passes by Eric Delong (Oakville, MB) and Brian Sheehan (St. Louis, MO) streaking down the left wing and cut to the front of the net for a wrist shot inside the far post at 5:28.

Ammon then scored two more in the second to tie the game.  He went to the net and took a flip pass from Eric Meland that he knocked once again top shelf glove side at 11:27.  He then tied the game on the power play, taking a pass from Tyler Maugeri and skating in for a hard far-post wrist shot from the left wing on the power play at 14:40.

Sacred Heart dominated the play in the third, outshooting the Tigers 20-5 over the final twenty minutes.  However, Ammon scored the game winner at 12:51 on the power play, one-timing a centering feed from Calof into a wide-open net.  Maugeri picked up the secondary assist.

Steven Legatto (Kelowna, BC) made 25 saves in net for the Pioneers.  Mike Condon earned the win for the Tigers, coming on in relief of Sean Bonar after Ketchum's goal and stopping all 23 SHU shots he faced.

The Pioneers are next in action Friday, November 30 at 7:05 when they begin a two-game series on the road against first-place Niagara.
