Kendrick Claims Second AHA Goaltender of the Month Honor

The first year went 5-3-1 between the pipes in January
BOSTON – First year goaltender Teagan Kendrick continues to collect accolades from Atlantic Hockey America (AHA), being named the AHA Goaltender of the Month for January, as announced on Wednesday afternoon.
Kendrick backstopped the Pioneers to a 5-3-1 record in the month. SHU picked up wins over Robert Morris, Niagara and conference-leading Bentley. Kendrick finished January with a conference-best 301 saves, averaging 33.44 per game. He also tallied a .926 save percentage and a 2.65 goals against average.
This season, Kendrick is a two-time AHA Goaltender of the Month, Rookie of the Month and two-time Rookie of the Week. With his impressive play, Kendrick also made the Mike Richter Award Watch List.
Sacred Heart returns home on Friday, Feb. 6, for the first of two games against Mercyhurst. The opening contest of the series is slated to start at 7 p.m. at the Martire Family Arena.
