SHU Tennis Defeats Manhattan 6-1

FAIRFIELD, Conn – The Sacred Heart women's tennis team earned the doubles point and won five of six singles matches on their way to a 6-1 win over Manhattan on Wednesday afternoon at the Sacred Heart Tennis Courts. The Pioneers improve to 5-8 on the season.
Sacred Heart won all three doubles matches, and four of five singles matches in straight sets. Sophomore Lindsey Post (Danbury, CT) prevailed in a third set super tiebreaker, 13-11, over Gabby Leon, while sophomore Paige Olson (Sykesville, MD) closed out a second set tiebreaker to defeat Caitlin Bricketto.
The Pioneers will look for two in a row Friday afternoon at Quinnipiac.
