
Pioneers Fall 1-0 At UMass

The Sacred Heart University field hockey team dropped a 1-0 decision to host UMass Friday afternoon. The Pioneers fall to 2-3 on the year, while the Minutewomen improve to 3-2.
Emily Degennaro started in goal for the Pioneers, allowing a goal and making six saves. Hailey Power placed the second half in goal and made five saves.
Sarah Hawkshaw netted the only goal of the game, scoring a pass from Rachael Burchell at the 30:30 mark.
SHU returns to action on Monday, hosting Pacific at 11 am on Johnson Field at Yale University.
