COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. – Heartbreak came late in the third period for the Sacred Heart University men's ice hockey team as they fell to Air Force 3-2 off a late power-play goal by the Falcons Friday night.

Air Force Falcons (4-6-1, 2-2-1 AHA)
Of Note:
- SHU had many chances to score on the power-play but weren't able to succeed as they went 0-6 on the man advantage.
- Sophomore Andrius Kulbis-Marino tallied his fourth assist of the season to place himself tied for second on team in assists.
- Senior Ryan Steele move up to a tie for first on the team in goals with five on the year.
- Air Force would get on the board first while they were on the power-play off a goal from Luke Rowe with 15:23 remaining in the first period.
- The Pioneers answered back late in the first with Kevin Lombardi (1:57 remaining) and Ryan Steele (1:29 remaining) each scoring to give SHU the 2-1 lead after one.
- With 1:50 left in the second period, Air Force evened the score up at 2-2 off a goal from Jacob Marti.
- Air Force went on the power-play 15:46 into the period and scored a goal by Will Gavin to give Air Force the 3-2 lead and victory.
