Box Score PITTSBURGH, Pa. — Following a low scoring game, the Sacred Heart University women's ice hockey program allowed eight goals in its two-day game series loss against Robert Morris, with a final score of 8-0.
The loss dropped the Pioneers to 1-7-0, while the Colonials improved to 13-5-1.
The Colonials scored three goals in the first and third period, with two in the second. The Colonials had the shots on goal advantage with 56, while the Pioneers attempted 22.
First-year goalkeeper Molly Elmore relieved junior Frankie Sanchez at 13:20 into the final period, making her collegiate debut with three saves. Sanchez accounted for 45 saves in her time between the pipes.
Sacred Heart gets back into conference action Wednesday when it hosts LIU for the fourth time this season. Puck drops at 12 p.m.
