
Men's Golf Captures FDU Invitational

FAYETTEVILLE, Pa. – It was a total team effort as the Sacred Heart University men's golf team was victorious at the FDU Invitational at the Penn National Golf Club. The Pioneers rallied from three strokes down to post a winning score of 603 on Saturday.
SHU shot 299 on the second 18 holes to finish two strokes ahead of Bryant and Robert Morris.
All five of SHU's golfers finished in the top 25, led by senior Saptak Talwar who shot 150 (74-76) to tie for eighth. Both Nathan Kim and Simon Trebon were three strokes better on Saturday for identical 151s (77-74). Also three shots better was rookie Victor Ginart-Belmonte at 153 (78-75). Classmate Marcus Lim was a stroke back with a 154 (76-78).
Up next for the Pioneers is the Hartford Tumble Brook Invitational on April 9.
