Lim posts top-10 finish
LEWISBURG, Pa. – The Sacred Heart University men's golf team was the definition of consistency as all three rounds at the Bucknell Invitational were within a stroke of each other. The Pioneers wrapped up the tournament on Tuesday with an eighth-place finish at the Bucknell Golf Course.
SHU finished with a 54-hole score of 880 (293-293-294) to finish two strokes back of Cornell. Rider was eight strokes better than Robert Morris for the title.
Posting a top-10 finish was junior Marcus Lim with a score of 215 (71-73-71). Cracking the top 25 thanks to his lowest round of the tournament was Eoin Freeman at 219 (74-73-72). A stroke back was rookie Michael Rothberg with his 220 (71-74-75). Sophomore Jason Pelley posted a 227 (78-73-76) while the rookie Pablo Lacayo followed at 229 (77-74-78).
The Pioneers are home for their final event of the fall when they host the Sacred Heart Fall Classic, October 16-17, at Great River Golf Club.
