EAST STROUDSBURG, Pa.— The Sacred Heart University men's and women's track & field teams competed at the East Stroudsburg DeSchriver Invitational on Saturday.
On the women's side,
Meghan O'Donnell earned second while setting a personal best in the 5000m with a time of 20:17.12.
Iseabailla Hewitt finished seventh in the event and also claimed a PR of 21:17.80.
Emily Arthur (3:43.45) and
Taylor Mason (3:50.35) earned season-highs while crossing the finish line at fourth and fifth in the 1000m.
Ariana Monarca earned fifth at 11:56.88 in the 3000m.
Alexa Weinbaum ran a time of 2:24.36, finishing in
the eighth in the 600m.
Madison Breckner (400m, 1:03.59) and
Olivia Suter (55m hurdles, 9.68 PR) claimed ninth in their events. Three Pioneers rounded out the top-10 with tenth-place finishes including
Tara Shipos (5:52.44) in the 1 mile,
Emma Viggiano (2.85m) in the pole vault and
Megan Wassick (4.84m PR) in the long jump.
The team of Breckner, Suter, Jacqueline Lague and
Abigail Scinicariello competed in the 4x400 relay and finished fifth at 4:27.96.
On the men's side,
Eamon Bednarcik (pole vault, 2.85m) and
Matthew Zawaski (400m, 52.65) earned sixth in their events.
Daniel Rodriguez (3000m, 9:36.79) and
Ethan Steier (1 mile, 5:02.73) followed with seventh-place finishes.
Angus Henricks set a new personal best in the triple jump at 11.24m and earned ninth place.
The team of
Andrew McInnis,
James Moore,
Daniel Perry and
William Pettit crossed the finish line at 4:01.96 in the 4x400 relay which was good for eighth.
