BOSTON— The Sacred Heart Universtiy men's and women's track & field teams competed on day two of the IC4A/ECAC Indoor Championships on Saturday.
The men's team stand in a three-way tie for seventh with Rider and Siena.
Cameron Croce threw for a season-best 18.28m in the weight throw, finishing in fourth place.
Benjamin Healy earned sixth overall in the heptathlon as he picked up fifth in the 60m hurdles (8.75 (PR), 802 points),
and pole vault (3.56m, 498 points) and sixth in the 1000m (2:54.12, 723 points).
Owen Nassaney recorded a 1.96m leap in the high jump.
The team of
Lance Hayes,
Rafael Mahario,
Jonathan Mahon and
Joseph Morrone broke the school record in the 4x400 at 3:15.27, crossing the finish line in sixth to qualify for the final. The previous record was set in 2007 at the Yale Giegengack Invitational. All-American Arman Dixon (2005-08) was a part of that team.
On the women's side, Nicole Szilagyi qualified for the final in the 60m at 13
th and matched her personal best 8.98.
Sacred Heart competes on the final day of the IC4A/ECAC Indoor Championships on Sunday.
