Lim ties for second at two-under

NEW HAVEN, Conn. – The Sacred Heart University men's golf team was on the course one last time before the Northeast Conference Championship. The Pioneers tied for fourth at the Yale Spring Invitational on Saturday at the Yale Golf Course.

Sacred Heart posted a 36-hole score of 580 (289-291) to tie Siena. The host Bulldogs won with a 574 (294-280) followed by Temple two strokes back.

Just missing out on medalist honors was sophomore Marcus Lim as he posted identical scores of 69 for a two-under total of 138 that was one stroke off the lead. Lim was the only player under par for both rounds.

Rookie Eoin Freeman followed with a 146 (71-75) in 18^th while classmate Jonah Camarillo tied for 25^th at 147 (73-74). Senior Nathan Kim posted a 150 (76-74) and rookie Blake Moreno was two strokes back at 152 (78-74). Jason Pelley competed as an individual, shooting 161 (72-89).

Up next for the Pioneer is the NEC Championship, April 29-31, at the LPGA Hill Course in Daytona Beach, Fla.
