Samantha Maresca tallied nine saves
NEW HAVEN, Conn. - A nine save effort by goalie Samantha Maresca was not enough as the Sacred Heart University field hockey team fell to Yale by a score of 1-0 on Friday night.
Of Note:
- The only goal of the game came from Yale's Ellie Barlow assisted on a penalty corner from Alissa Wong 30:44 into the game.
- The only shots recorded on the game for SHU came from Mira Poelzer and Isabelle Chamberlain.
- The Pioneers were held to two shots for the entire night.
The Pioneers travel to face Dartmouth on Sunday Sept. 11 at 12 p.m.
