BOSTON – Senior Kaylee Stenderowicz led the way for the Sacred Heart University women's track and field team with a pair of top-10 finishes on Saturday at the competitive Boston University John Thomas Terrier Classic, hosted at the BU Track & Tennis Center.

Stenderowicz's stellar day was highlighted by a runner-up showing in the triple jump, as she set a new season-high with a mark of 11.61m. The Fredon, N.J., native also placed 10th in the long jump with a mark of 5.31m.

Jenna Engels led the way for a strong SHU contingent in the pole vault, as her mark of 3.45m was tied for fourth place. Jennifer Pasram placed next for the Pioneers, tying for seventh place by clearing 3.30m. Sydney Abitanto marked the third Pio in the top 13, finishing in a tie for 13th with a mark of 3.15m.

Magdalena Brogioli earned Sacred Heart another top-10 showing in the high jump, placing in a tie for sixth after matching her season-high mark of 1.55m. Madeline Archangelo wrapped up SHU's stellar day in the field events, earning a 13th-place showing in the shot put with a toss of 10.54m.

Jada Alston got the Pioneers going in the running events, as her 60-meter dash time of 8.07 was good enough for sixth place.

The Pioneers' 1,600m relay teams finished back-to-back in 13th and 14th place, respectively.

The SHU women's track and field team continues its indoor campaign on Thursday, Feb. 2, for day one of the two-day New England Intercollegiate Indoor Track & Field Championships, hosted at the TRACK at New Balance in Boston, Mass.
