The Pioneers claimed six event victories

Lawrenceville, N.J. – The Sacred Heart University women's track and field team turned in a good performance after finishing second out of six teams with a combined score of 138 points at the Rider University 5-Way Invitational.

Nyahingiva Musa gave the Pioneers their first victory of the day in the 100m, crossing the line in 11.88 seconds. Alivia Schweibinz followed with a win in the 3000m, finishing in 10:14.12.

The final two track victories came in the hurdles. Magdalena Brogioli placed first in the 100m hurdles with a time of 14.56, while Kayleigh Troy took the top spot in the 400m hurdles, finishing in 1:08.74.
Kaitlyn Caraco kicked off the field events with an event victory in the high jump event. She finished with a mark of 1.60m

The last event victory for the Pioneers came in the triple jump event. Annalise Nassy came first after finishing with a mark of 11.51m.

Up Next:
The Pioneers return to action next weekend at the George Mason University Ebanks Invitational, set for Friday, April 3, and Saturday, April 4. The meet is scheduled to begin at 12:00 p.m.
