Starastsenka earns 10th win of the season
LOUDONVILLE, N.Y.— The Sacred Heart University women's tennis team earned a decisive 5-2 victory at Siena on Friday.
In doubles, the team of Ciara O'Toole and Aina Garriga won at No. 3, 6-4. The Saints took No. 2 but the team of Katisaryana Starastsenka and Flavia Rambaldi clinched a victory at No. 1 to secure the first point for the Pioneers.
SHU dominated in singles winning four of the six matches. Starastsenka beat her opponent Meagan Brown in straight sets, earning her 10th victory of the season.
Up next, the Pioneers host Wagner for an NEC match on Saturday at 6 p.m.
