Starastsenka Named NEC Player of the Month

Junior went 6-1 in dual singles and 4-2 in dual doubles
SOMERSET, N.J.— Sacred Heart University women's tennis member Katsiaryna Starastsenka was selected as the Northeast Conference Player of the Month, announced by the league on Thursday.
The Mogilev, Belarus, native earned a 6-1 record in dual singles and 4-2 record in dual doubles. Starastsenka won singles in the Pioneers' last five matches with four of them in straight sets. The junior also posted a 3-0 record in doubles with teammate Flavia Rambaldi.
This marks Starastsenka's first player honors and fourth conference accolade of her career. She was a three-time Rookie of the Week recipient in 2021.
Sacred Heart is back in action on Thursday against Fairfield at 11 a.m.
