WILLIAMSBURG, Va. – The Sacred Heart Women's Golf Team improved its performance from yesterday by 10 and 12 strokes today to climb up the standings to finish fifth at the Kingsmill Intercollegiate.
The Pioneers shot 307 and a 305 in the final rounds of the two-day event to post a +65 score of 929. Penn won the event with a three-round 906.
Chantal El Chaib led SHU by shooting 77-77-71 for 225, which was good for sixth place on the 6,057-yard, par-72 River Course.
Margot Rouquette, who was 15th on the resort venue, went 79-76-75. She and the Pios are next in action next weekend at the Prospect Bay Intercollegiate in Grasonville, Md.
