Sunday, Monday event set for GRGC
FAIRFIELD, Conn. – Pios, Crusaders, Terriers, Skyhawks and Hawks will all be hunting for birdies at Great River Golf Club this weekend.
The SHU Spring Invitational is Sunday and Monday with Holy Cross, Boston University, Stonehill and Hartford coming to the banks of the Housatonic River for a 36-hole event.
Sunday's play is with tee times that begin at 10:10 a.m., while Monday is a 10 a.m. shotgun.
The Pioneers rolled to a 37-stroke victory in last year's event. SHU posted a 36-hole score of 619 (308-311), while Hartford grabbed second place at 656.
A year ago, Chantal El Chaib came from behind to force a playoff with teammate Margot Rouquette before Rouquette rolled in a long par putt to claim medalist honors.
