Rouquette Named Prime Performer
FAIRFIELD, Conn. – Junior Sacred Heart University Golfer Chantal El Chaib has been named NEC Player of the Week after she led the Pioneers to a fifth place finish at the Kingsmill Intercollegiate.
The Abu Dhabi, UAE, native led SHU by shooting 77-77-71 for 225, which was good for sixth place on the 6,057-yard, par-72 River Course. El Chaib was also co-NEC Golfer of the Month for March.
Margot Rouquette, a junior from Montiron, France, who was 15th overall on the resort venue, went 79-76-75 and earned conference "prime performer" honors.
SHU is next in action this weekend at the Prospect Bay Intercollegiate in Grasonville, Md.
