WEST WINDSOR, N.J.— The No. 2 Sacred Heart University women's tennis team competed in its first Northeast Conference Championship in program history on Sunday. Unfortunately, the Pioneers fell to No. 1 LIU, 4-0.
The Sharks swept the doubles point and three of six singles to bring the match to its final score.
Vitalina Golod and
Katsiaryna Starastsenka were selected to the All-Tournament team.
Head coach
Mike Guastelle will have to replace two on next season's roster but does return Starastsenka,
Aina Garriga,
Flavia Rambaldi and
Olivia Kharkover.
