FAIRFIELD, Conn. - Sacred Heart Tennis Teams stood out on the court this year. They've been doing that off the court on a regular basis.
Â
Both Pioneer tennis programs were ITA Division I Academic recipients with average team grade point averages over 3.2. This was the 21

Â
The men's recipients included
Lefteri Apostolou,
Sebastian Colla,
Darius Eftekhar,
Paul Goncalves,
Antoine Hernandez, Alberto Kraemer de Mello,
Charlie Levinson and
Matyas Vencl. Ana Sofia Angeles Sanchez,
Kim Fenton,
Aina Garriga Martinez,
Flavia Rambaldi and
Katsiaryna Starastsenka were the women's honorees.
Â
"We've always recruited student-athletes who are serious about their efforts on and off the courts, so it is great to see them rewarded for their accomplishments," said Sacred Heart tennis coach
Mike Guastelle, who was NEC Women's Coach of the Year while helping five women and five men earn all-conference accolades on the court.
