Men's Basketball Concludes Non-Conference Play with Home Win Over Manhattanville

Numerous Pioneers had career-high performances
FAIRFIELD, Conn.— In its final non-conference game of the season, the Sacred Heart University men's basketball team took down Manhattanville 100-60 on Sunday afternoon, kicking off a three-game homestand. Nyle Ralph-Beyer led four Pioneers in double figures with a career-high 20 points.
Ralph-Beyer shot 8-for-12 from the field and 4-for-7 from behind the arc. Anquan Hill added 18 points and tied his season-high in rebounds with seven, Griffin Barrouk shot 4-for-7 from three-point range, scoring a career-high 16 points, and Mekhi Conner had career-highs in points (16) and tied his career-high in assists (8).

After going through the opening 11 minutes with neither team leading more by five, Sacred Heart found themselves trailing, 24-18 at 8:38. A Ralph-Beyer jumper sparked a 15-0 run for the Pioneers, capped by an Amiri Stewart layup, as SHU came from behind to jump ahead 33-24. Manhattanville answered with a layup, but Conner and Hill combined for seven straight points to give Sacred Heart a 40-26 advantage at the half.
The Pioneers continued to dominate from there, outscoring the Valiants 60-34 in the second half. SHU scored 19 points off Manhattanville's turnovers and had 41 bench points.
Sacred Heart scored 100 points for the first time this season and shot a season-best from the field, 60% (39-65), and from three-point range, 48% (13-27).
Taj Bryant also had career-highs for the second consecutive game in points (8), rebounds (5), and assists (6). Lucius Gibson-Savadel brought down a career-high three rebounds and matched his career-high in points with two.
