
Men's T&F Has Strong Showing at DeSchriver Invitational

Paulino-Acosta earns three top-10 placements
EAST STROUDSBURG, Pa. — The Sacred Heart University men's track and field team wrapped up competition at the East Stroudsburg University DeSchriver Invitational on Sunday evening, placing four athletes in the top-10 in the process.
SHU had strong showings on the track earning two top-10 finishes as Luke Stangarone grabbed sixth place in the 600m, setting a personal-best mark time of 1:35.36 while Kelvin Paulino-Acosta grabbed 10th in the 55m dash with a personal-best time of 8.98 seconds.
The Red & White also grabbed three more top-10 placements in jumps as Paulino-Acosta earned fifth in the pole vault after clearing a personal-best mark of 3.15m before taking ninth in the triple jump, setting a mark of 11.76m. First year Aidan Riccardo earned SHU's last top-10 placement in the pole vault, taking seventh place after clearing 2.85m.
In throws, Liam Tharin grabbed the sixth and final top-10 placement of the day. Having placed 13th in shot put with a mark of 12.37m, Tharin earned sixth place in the weighted throw, setting a personal-best mark of 13.85m to finish out the day.
