The Pioneers sit in seventh place after the first 36 holes
MILFORD, Conn. – The Sacred Heart University men's golf team hosted the first two rounds of the SHU Fall Classic on Monday at the Great River Golf Club in Milford, Conn.
The Pioneers are in seventh place after 36 holes, owning a combined score of 618 (310-308), which is 42 strokes over par. SHU trails fellow MAAC program Saint Peter's (+40) in sixth. Manhattan leads the field at 594 (+18).
Sho Suzuki and Alex Turlik pace Sacred Heart in a tie for 20th at 152 (+8). Suzuki carded identical rounds of 76, while Turlik posted a 75 and a 77.
Eoin Freeman and Yu Chan Ji Lim are also tied after 36 holes, as the duo is in 38th place with scores of 157 (+13). Freeman recorded rounds of 77 and 80, while Ji Lim shaved seven strokes off of a round-one 82 with a second-round 75.
Jack Delaney, Miles Buddenhagan and James Murray rounded out SHU's golfers today in 45th, T51st and 57th place, respectively.
The Pioneers will play the final 18 holes of the SHU Fall Classic tomorrow.
