Rothberg led SHU in 42nd place
UNIVERSITY PLACE, Wash. – The Sacred Heart University men's golf team ended the challenging Seattle U Redhawk Invitational in 18th place on Tuesday afternoon at the Chambers Bay Golf Course in University Place, Wash.
The Pioneers placed 18th at the event with a combined score of 907 (+51). The Pioneers posted scores of 303 in both rounds yesterday, trimming two strokes with a 301 today.
Mike Rothberg led the way for SHU with a final score of eight-over 222 (75-73-74) to tie for 42nd. The junior finished the event with five birdies to go along with an eagle on the par-four 12th yesterday.
Pablo Lacayo and Robby Zyskowski III finished next for SHU in T62nd and T71st, respectively. Lacayo carded a final score of 226 (+12) after tallying rounds of 75,76 and 75. Zyskowski went 75, 78 and 75 for a score of 228 (+14).
Ethan Phillips and Yu Chan Ji Lim concluded SHU's competitors in 85th and T92nd, respectively.
The Pioneers will next head to the Abarta Coca-Cola Collegiate Invitational, hosted by Lafayette at the Northampton Country Club in Easton, Pa.
