Rothberg Claims MAAC Golfer of the Week Honors

The junior was the leading MAAC golfer at the Abarta Coca-Cola Collegiate Invite
EDISON, N.J. – After leading the Pioneers to victory at the Abarta Coca-Cola Collegiate Invitational, Sacred Heart University men's golf junior Mike Rothberg was named the the Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference (MAAC) Golfer of the Week on Wednesday.
Rothberg led the Pioneers by tying for third place at the Abarta Coca-Cola Collegiate Invitational on Sunday and Monday, posting a combined score of 141 (-3). Rothberg helped Sacred Heart cruise to a five-stroke win at the event, which featured six MAAC programs.
Rothberg joins Ethan Phillips as the two SHU golfers to claim a MAAC Golfer of the Week award. Both did so after leading the Pioneers to a victory.
SHU will next head to the three-day MAAC Championship spanning Thursday-Saturday, Apr. 17-19, at Disney's Magnolia Golf Course in Lake Buena Vista, Fla.
