Csejka Named Field Hockey Assistant Coach

Sydney Van Der Merwe announces staff update ahead of 2025 season
Tess Csejka joins the Sacred Heart University field hockey program as an assistant coach ahead of the 2025 season.
A graduate of Boston University, Csejka was a five-year member of the Terriers' field hockey program. She graduated with a degree in Psychology with a minor in Deaf Studies.
Csejka most recently coached youth girls' lacrosse in the Amity Girls Youth Lacrosse program, working with players in grades K–8. She has also served as a coach and counselor at several elite field hockey camps, including Nike, College Connection, and Revolution, where she provided instruction to over 100 campers per session and oversaw both on-field development and off-field supervision.
An Orange, Conn. Native, Csejka returns to Connecticut after a standout career at BU, with accolades including All-Patriot League Second Team (2022), Most Improved Player (2020-21), NFHCA National Academic Squad (2020), and Patriot League Academic Honor Roll (2020).

"Her passion for the game, commitment to developing student-athletes, and strong background make her a great fit for our program. I'm confident Tess will have an immediate and positive impact both on and off the field as we continue to build a competitive and supportive team culture."
