The senior led the team with three points at Bentley this weekend
BOSTON – For the second time this season, Sacred Heart University men's ice hockey senior defenseman Noah Ellis was named the Atlantic Hockey America (AHA) Defenseman of the Week as announced on Tuesday morning.
Ellis played a key role in the Pios splitting a weekend series at conference-leading Bentley. SHU rolled over the Falcons in the first game on Friday by a 4-0 final score in one of the team's most complete showings of the season. Bentley got revenge in game two on Saturday, its lone win over Sacred Heart this year, as the Pios are 2-1-1 against the Falcons in 2025-26.
Ellis led the Pioneers with three points this weekend, with a goal and two assists. He also added a team-high five blocks to round out his stat line. Ellis began the weekend by contributing to three of the team's four goals in Friday's victory, finishing with a goal and two assists. He followed that up with a game-high five blocks.
Looking ahead, Sacred Heart welcomes Holy Cross for a series at the Martire Family Arena next weekend. The first of the two games is slated for Friday, Feb. 20, at 7 p.m., while the second game on Saturday will start at 6 p.m. and will serve as the Pios' Senior Day.
