
Women's Tennis Cruises Past Siena

TRUMBULL, CONN. — The Sacred Heart women's tennis team earned a commanding 6-1 victory over Siena University on Saturday in Trumbull.
The Pioneers started strong in doubles play, securing the doubles point. Olivia Zuba and Ola Irla Bartyzel opened with a 6-4 win at No. 1 doubles while Ava Nelson and Malena del Olmo followed with a 7-5 victory at No. 2 doubles.
Sacred Heart carried that momentum into singles play, winning five of six matches.
Bartyzel delivered a strong 6-1, 6-2 win at No. 1 singles, while Nelson followed with a 6-2, 6-2 victory at No. 2 singles. Savita Bagirathan battled back after dropping the first set to earn a three-set win at No. 3 singles.
Zuba added another point with a 6-1, 6-1 win at No. 4 singles, and del Olmo closed out the scoring for the Pioneers with a 6-2, 6-0 victory at No. 6 singles.
