The Pioneers are looking to carry momentum from their first place finish in the indoor championships
Fairfield, Conn. – The Sacred Heart University men's track and field team has been selected first in the 2026 MAAC Outdoor Track and Field Preseason Coaches' Poll. After capturing their first-ever MAAC Indoor Championship, the Pioneers will aim to carry that momentum into the outdoor season and build on their recent success.
The top three teams in the poll were separated by a slim margin in the voting. The Pioneers led the way with five first-place votes, while Mount St. Mary's followed closely behind with four. Rider rounded out the top three, earning one first-place vote.
