Durang Named MAAC Field Performer of the Week

Durang racked up 28 points between two events this past weekend
Fairfield, Conn. – Sophomore thrower, Tyler Durang, was named the Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference (MAAC) Field Performer of the Week, the conference announced Tuesday afternoon.
Durang earned this award after a standout performance at the Rider University 5-Way Invitational, where he claimed first place in two events. He opened the meet by winning the hammer throw with a new personal best of 55.65 meters, then followed it up with a first-place finish in the discus at 45.97 meters. Durang totaled 28 points across the two events, helping lead the Pioneers to a first-place team finish in the five-team meet.

The Pioneers return to action next weekend at the George Mason University Ebanks Invitational, set for Friday, April 3, and Saturday, April 4. The meet is scheduled to begin at 12:00 p.m.
