Yockel Named Conference USA Performer of the Month

The junior led SHU to a win and a fifth-place showing
DALLAS – For the first time since joining Conference USA, a Sacred Heart University women's bowler made the league's Performers of the Month Team, as Madilyn Yockel was honored for her outstanding play in February.
Yockel helped the Pioneers have an outstanding February, as the team won the New England Cup and took fifth at the Flyer Invitational. At the Flyer Invitational, she led the team with a 207.4 average in team matches and 216.9 in baker play, posting a team-high 266 to begin traditional play. At the New England Cup, she averaged 222.6 to be named to the All-Tournament Team. For the month, she struck 50.3% and filled 87.9% of her frames.
The Pioneers return to play on Friday, March 6, for the first of three days at the Columbia 300 Music City Classic, hosted by Vanderbilt in Smyrna, Tenn.
